Captain Smart, a popular radio and TV host, has responded to the Ghana Journalists Association’s (GJA) recent press conference condemning his comments, alleging that the organization was bribed to do so.
In an interview with Accra FM, Captain Smart made a stunning revelation, alleging that the GJA received a payment of 213,000 Ghana cedis to hold a press conference against him.
“Information I got from the meeting they attended at jubilee house, they were paid 213,000 Ghana cedis ” he said.
Captain Smart’s allegations come after the GJA held a press conference earlier, denouncing his comments as “unprofessional” and “dangerous.” The organization called on his employers, Media General, to take disciplinary action against him.
The controversy surrounding Captain Smart’s comments has sparked a heated debate in the media landscape, with some supporting his right to free speech and others condemning his words as incendiary.
The GJA has yet to respond to Captain Smart’s allegations, but the organization’s credibility is now under scrutiny.
