The Minority Caucus in Parliament has requested information on the prices of road construction equipment under the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP).
The programme was launched on July 31 to address road maintenance challenges.
The Minority Caucus made the request in a statement signed by Mahama Ayariga, Ranking Member of the Committee on Information and Communication.
The statement invoked the Rights to Information Act, 2019 (Act 989) to request the information.
The Minority Caucus is seeking the cost of each unit of equipment procured for DRIP.
They also requested the payment schedule for the equipment and the total payment made for the equipment as of now.
The request includes other details related to the equipment and payment.
The Minority Caucus submitted the request to obtain the necessary information.
