The Finance Minister Mohammed Amin Adam has announced that the government has disbursed GH¢5.4 billion Ghana cedis to fund the Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP) and School Feeding Programmes, as part of the budget review statement presented to Parliament today

The funding aims to support vulnerable populations and ensure that children from low-income families have access to nutritious meals, promoting education and poverty reduction. The LEAP programme provides cash transfers to beneficiaries, while the School Feeding Programme supplies meals to pupils in public schools.
This disbursement demonstrates the government’s commitment to social protection and human development, key priorities outlined in the budget review. The programmes have been instrumental in improving living standards and educational outcomes, and this funding will ensure their continuity.
The Finance Minister assured Parliament that the government remains dedicated to addressing the needs of Ghanaians, particularly the most vulnerable, and will continue to implement policies and programmes to drive inclusive growth and development.
