Hajia Samira Bawumia, the Second Lady of Ghana, has made a heartfelt appeal to Ghanaians to overwhelmingly support her husband, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP’s flagbearer, in the 2024 elections.
With utmost confidence in his leadership capabilities, she assured the nation that Dr. Bawumia’s presidency would usher in remarkable progress.
Addressing NPP supporters in Takoradi, she declared, “Ghana’s future will flourish under Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s leadership.”
She also praised the Akufo-Addo government’s social initiatives, expressing optimism that these projects would continue to succeed under Dr. Bawumia’s presidency.
Hajia Samira Bawumia, who hails from a Zongo community, shared her inspiring personal journey, highlighting how education empowered her to rise above her humble beginnings.
She passionately emphasized the transformative power of education, citing the government’s free educational policy as a game-changer that has opened doors of opportunity for countless young people.
“I was born and nurtured in the Zongo, and if it hadn’t been for education, I wouldn’t be where I am today,” she said.
As part of her outreach, she also paid a courtesy visit to Muslim leaders at the Mosque in ‘Pipe Ano’, a suburb of Takoradi.
The NPP will launch its Manifesto on Sunday, August 18.
