Former President John Dramani Mahama, the presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has arrived in Juapong to embark on a four-day campaign tour of the Volta Region, marking the beginning of his regional outreach ahead of the upcoming elections.
During a community engagement with the North Tongu Union of Chiefs, John Mahama shared his vision for transforming the Volta Region’s social and economic landscape, highlighting the NDC’s past achievements in implementing significant infrastructure and development projects in the region, and pledging to build on this legacy if elected.
The #Mahama4Change2024 campaign tour, as outlined in a statement by Campaign Spokesperson Joyce Bawah Mogatri, aims to be comprehensive and inclusive, featuring a range of engagements with various groups, including traditional and religious leaders, community members, market women, youth, and other key stakeholders, to ensure a broad-based and participatory approach.
John Mahama is dedicated to driving growth and advancement in the Volta Region, with a unifying vision of collaboratively building a prosperous Ghana, according to Campaign Spokesperson Joyce Bawah Mogatri.
On the first day of his campaign tour, John Mahama’s team has a packed schedule, which includes a visit to Dededo in the Ho West Constituency, a courtesy call on the Asogli Traditional Council, a community engagement at Kpetoe in the Agotime Kpetoe Constituency, and a youth town hall meeting at Ho Technical University, aiming to connect with various stakeholders and engage with the community.
