Juventus has confirmed that they have terminated the contract of Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny by mutual agreement. The 34-year-old, who spent seven seasons with the Italian giants, is now available as a free agent.
Szczesny had one year left on his contract, but the decision to terminate his deal early comes as no surprise. Juventus recently signed Michele Di Gregorio from Monza in July, indicating that Szczesny’s time at the club was coming to an end.
Wojciech Szczesny began his professional journey at Arsenal, where he joined as a teenager in 2006 and rose through the ranks.
He later moved to Juventus, where he made 252 appearances and won six major honors, including three Serie A championships and three Coppa Italia trophies.
He represents Poland on the international stage, earning 84 caps for the national team.
Italian media reports have linked Szczesny with a move to Serie A club Monza, as well as Al-Nassr of the Saudi Pro League. Wherever he ends up, Szczesny will bring a wealth of experience and talent to his new team.
Szczesny’s departure from Juventus marks the end of an era, but the Polish goalkeeper is excited for the next chapter in his career. With his skills and experience, he is sure to be a valuable asset to any team he joins.
