In a bid to secure the services of highly-rated midfielder Teun Koopmeiners, Juventus has improved their offer to Atalanta, reports suggest. The Bianconeri’s initial proposal of €50m plus €5m in add-ons was rejected by the Bergamo-based club, prompting Juventus to return with an enhanced package.
According to sources, Juventus has submitted a new bid worth a fixed fee of €52m, with an additional €7m in add-ons, bringing the total value of the deal to €59m. This increased offer demonstrates the Turin giants’ determination to land the 25-year-old Dutch international.
Koopmeiners, who has been capped three times by the Netherlands, has been a standout performer for Atalanta since joining the club in 2021. His impressive displays have caught the attention of several top European clubs, but Juventus appears to be leading the race for his signature.
With the transfer window nearing its closure, Juventus is eager to finalize the deal and strengthen their midfield options ahead of the new season. Koopmeiners’ versatility and box-to-box style would make him an excellent addition to Massimiliano Allegri’s squad.
As the negotiations continue, Koopmeiners is reportedly waiting patiently, leaving the decision up to the two clubs. Atalanta, however, may still demand more, given the player’s value and importance to the team.
The outcome of this transfer saga remains uncertain, but one thing is clear – Juventus is willing to go the extra mile to secure Koopmeiners’ services. Will Atalanta accept the improved offer, or will other suitors enter the fray? Only time will tell.
