The long-running Conor Gallagher transfer saga may finally be nearing its end. According to Kaveh Solhekol speaking on Sky Sports News, Chelsea is bracing itself for a potential bid from Tottenham.
Solhekol reports that Chelsea expects Tottenham to make an official approach in the coming days or weeks, indicating the club’s serious interest in signing the England international.
Solhekol revealed that Atletico Madrid is also interested in Gallagher but may not be offering enough, giving Tottenham a potential advantage.
Solhekol continued, “Chelsea expects Spurs to make a move for Gallagher within the next couple of days or weeks. Major developments could happen when he returns from holiday.”
Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou is a huge admirer of Gallagher, believing him to be a top player, driving the club’s interest in the midfielder.
Fabrizio Romano confirmed Postecoglou’s admiration, stating, “Tottenham wants Gallagher because Ange Postecoglou is in love with the player.” However, Romano noted that there are currently no talks between the clubs.
Tottenham appears poised to make a concrete offer to secure Gallagher’s services, ending the speculation surrounding this transfer saga for over a year.
