The Ministry of Health (MOH) has announced that its recruitment process for 15,200 nurses and midwives will begin on Monday, August 5, 2024. This was confirmed by the Chief Director of the Ministry, Alhaji Hafiz Adam, in a statement released on Friday, July 26, 2024.
According to Alhaji Adam, the recruitment process will be conducted in a transparent manner to ensure equal opportunities for all qualified individuals. The Ministry has therefore called on qualified nurses and midwives to submit their applications through its online portal https://hr.moh.gov.gh
To apply, interested persons are required to log onto the portal and select their preferred agency under the Ministry. The deadline for application submission is Friday, August 23, 2024, at 6 pm.
The recruitment of 15,200 nurses and midwives is part of the Ministry’s efforts to strengthen the healthcare sector and improve service delivery. This move is expected to address the shortage of healthcare professionals in various health facilities across the country.
However, the Ministry has warned applicants to be cautious of individuals who may claim to assist them with the recruitment process in exchange for payment. The Ministry emphasized that the recruitment process is free and fair, and that no individual or group has been authorized to collect money on its behalf.
Applicants are therefore advised to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities. The Ministry’s online portal is the only authorized platform for submitting applications, and applicants are urged to use it to avoid falling victim to scams.
Qualified nurses and midwives are encouraged to apply and be part of the team that will shape the future of healthcare in Ghana.
