Winneba, August 24 – The National Democratic Congress (NDC) launched its manifesto for the 2024 general elections today, promising to “reset and rebuild” Ghana after years of mismanagement and corruption.
Speaking at the launch in Winneba, General Chairman of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, began by paying tribute to the late Comrade Datsun, a dedicated party member who passed away yesterday.
After a minute’s silence, Asiedu Nketia proceeded to outline the party’s vision for Ghana’s future.
He criticized the current government for its handling of the economy, citing the introduction of “haircuts” and domestic debt exchange as evidence of its collapse.
He also lamented the state of infrastructure, healthcare, and education, blaming the government’s “reckless and incompetent” approach.
The NDC’s manifesto, rooted in social democratic ideals, promises clear and actionable solutions to address Ghana’s challenges. Key policies include a 24-hour economy, aimed at creating an egalitarian society.
Asiedu Nketia urged Ghanaians to identify with the NDC’s policies and vote for the party on December 7, 2024, to “reset and rebuild” Ghana.
He concluded by saying, “Let us join hands to reset and rebuild the Ghana we want together. Long live Ghana, long live the National Democratic Congress.”
