Hearts of Oak Head Coach Aboubakar Ouattara has categorically denied allegations of external interference in the team’s recruitment process, asserting his full control over player signings. Addressing rumors of a conspiracy involving top officials Vincent Sowah Odotei and Alhaji Akanbi, Coach Ouattara stated, “Both Odotei and Akanbi are not involved in recruitment.
I have my own recruitment policy, where I identify targets, conduct research, and work with scouts to evaluate players.
“Coach Ouattara outlined his vision for the upcoming season, “Our target is simple: build a strong team, play well, and meet fan expectations. We’re focused on improvement, not repeating last season’s struggles.”
He also confirmed his commitment to continuing as head coach, quashing speculation about a move to the technical director role.With the new season approaching, Hearts of Oak will begin pre-season training soon, gearing up for the 2024-25 Ghana Premier League’s early September start.
