The People’s National Party (PNP) has announced that it will accept nominations for its presidential and national executive positions from August 8 to August 15, 2024, marking the official start of its internal election process.
The PNP has set dates for its internal elections, with the presidential and national executive primaries scheduled to take place on August 24 and 25, 2024, respectively.
The party has announced that nomination forms for its upcoming presidential and national executive elections can be obtained free of charge at the party’s headquarters in Accra, as stated in a joint statement released by General Secretary Sulemana Seidu and Interim Leader Janet Asana Nabla.
Filing fees for various leadership positions: GHS100,000 for presidential and chairmanship aspirants, GHS50,000 for vice-chairman hopefuls, GHS30,000 for general secretary contenders, and GHS20,000 for those vying for national treasurer, national organizer, national women’s organizer, and national youth organizer roles.
Female candidates will receive a 50% reduction in filing fees, paying half the amount required for their respective positions, according to the PNP’s guidelines.
The People’s National Party (PNP) officially received its provisional certification from the Electoral Commission in June, paving the way for its participation in the political process.
