President Nana Akufo-Addo has wholeheartedly endorsed Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the next President of Ghana, praising his loyalty, honesty, dedication, and patriotism.
Speaking at the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) manifesto launch, President Akufo-Addo described Dr. Bawumia as a “model of loyalty” and assured Ghanaians that he will deliver on his commitments.
“I can put my hand on my heart and say he will deliver on each and every one of those commitments,” President Akufo-Addo said.
The President also commended Dr. Bawumia’s respect for the Ghanaian people, saying, “This is a man who has respect for the people of Ghana. This is not a man who is going to tell the Ghanaian people that you have short memories.”
President Akufo-Addo highlighted Dr. Bawumia’s achievements, including the successful implementation of the free senior high school policy and his role in restructuring Ghana’s energy debt.

“Everybody in Ghana can testify to the success with which he implemented the free senior high school policy,” he said.
The President also praised Dr. Bawumia’s achievements as a central banker, saying, “He was on his way to becoming governor of the Bank of Ghana, and he had a brilliant career as a central banker until he met me and I diverted him.”
President Akufo-Addo expressed confidence in Dr. Bawumia’s ability to lead Ghana through the fourth Industrial Revolution.
“There is only one man in Ghana today who can take us through that fourth Industrial Revolution. Mahamudu Bawumia is his name.”
The President concluded by urging Ghanaians to vote for Dr. Bawumia, saying, “I have no hesitation in recommending him to the Ghanaian people.”
