The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has taken disciplinary action against two executives in the Suhum Constituency, suspending them due to accusations of participating in actions detrimental to the party’s interests.
The Constituency Executive Committee (CEC) has officially suspended Samuel Baah, the Communication Officer, and Alhaji Bala Abubakar, the Deputy Nassara Coordinator, by issuing them suspension letters, citing their alleged involvement in activities contrary to the party’s interests.
The Constituency Executive Committee (CEC) cited several misconducts, including campaigning against the party’s parliamentary candidate, organising processions with anti-party messages and presenting a petition to the incumbent MP to contest as an independent candidate
These actions were deemed to be in breach of Articles 3(9)(1) and 3(5)(a)(2) and (4) of the NPP Constitution, resulting in the forfeiture of their membership and suspension from their positions.
As the 2024 elections approach, the party is stressing the importance of discipline and unity, making it clear that any behavior that undermines these values, such as the actions that led to the suspension of Samuel Baah and Alhaji Bala Abubakar, will not be accepted and will result in swift action being taken.
