The New Patriotic Party (NPP) will launch its manifesto for the 2024 election in Takoradi on August 18.
The party’s General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, made the announcement in a statement on Monday August 5.
An 11-member committee has been established to plan and execute the launch event.
Oboshie Sai-Coffie chairs the committee, with Abena Asante as the secretary.
Other committee members include Henry Nana Boakye, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, and Fatimatu Abubakar.
Dr. Bawumia, the NPP Flagbearer, has been touring the country to canvas for votes.
During his tour, he has engaged with various groups, including religious leaders and labor unions.
Dr. Bawumia has outlined his vision for the country, including implementing a flat tax rate in 2025.
He also plans to stabilize the Cedi by increasing gold reserves and supporting small-scale miners.
Dr. Bawumia aims to improve fiscal discipline by downsizing government expenditure and ensuring the Fiscal Responsibility Council operates independently.
He has pledged to review Article 87 of the 1992 Constitution and the National Development Planning Commission Act.
The NPP’s campaign theme is “Bold Solutions for our Future” with the slogan “#Itispossible”.
The manifesto launch is a crucial step in the NPP’s campaign for the December 7 election.
