“I’ve heard the cries of my fans for a comeback concert, and we’re making it happen,” Kartel stated.
In a lighthearted remark, he jokingly warned fans that they might have to go to great lengths – even considering selling “an organ or two” – to get their hands on tickets to the eagerly awaited event, hinting at the high demand and excitement surrounding his return to the stage.
The recent release of Vybz Kartel from prison on July 31 has sparked immense excitement among fans globally, especially in Jamaica and the Caribbean, who are now eagerly awaiting his first live performance.
This enthusiasm follows the Jamaica Court of Appeal’s landmark decision to exonerate Kartel and his co-defendants, Shawn Campbell, Kahira Jones, and Andre St. John, in the murder case of Clive “Lizard” Williams, deeming a retrial unnecessary due to lack of sufficient evidence.
The court’s unanimous ruling marked a significant turning point, paving the way for Kartel’s highly anticipated return to the stage.
